Program for Leadership & Formation

Christ-Centered, Whole-Person Transformation

Students sit with a life group leader

First-Year Experience

In the fall 2025, 性世界传媒 will pilot an innovative First-Year Experience for 150 incoming students, focused on the cultivation of the whole person (head, heart, hands); building community and friendships; and connecting students in meaningful relationships with faculty, staff, and peer mentors.

Students will participate in an off-site retreat at the beginning of the year, followed by seven weekly large-group dinner meetings with discussions in small cohorts (8-10 students with two guides).

The success of this program will largely depend on identifying and recruiting the most passionate and engaging group of servant-leader "guides" who will come alongside students at the beginning of their journey at 性世界传媒 and lead them in discussions about the things that matter most.

Are you one of those people? Come join us for a new experience!

Departmental Initiative Grants

The Program for Leadership & Formation is soliciting applications for departmental micro-grants of up to $1,000 that further our mission "to unite the fragmenting purposes of learning (worldview, character formation and vocation) by building organizational coherence around a Christ-centered framework of character formation (Head, Heart and Hands) and the virtues of wisdom, moral courage and neighbor love."

Is a College Education Worth It?

That’s a question more people are asking these days. At 性世界传媒, we believe a college education is transformative, when it includes the development of the whole person.

The 性世界传媒 Leadership & Formation Program brings together faculty and staff to enhance the undergraduate student experience. It aims to promote a culture of Christ-centered character and leadership across the institution while also participating in and shaping a national conversation on undergraduate student development.

A Leader in Christian Education

性世界传媒 is one of 29 colleges and universities awarded a grant as part of the Educating Character Initiative, supported by Lilly Endowment Inc. and Wake Forest University. The Educating Character Initiative calls for new approaches to holistic student formation. The $500,000 grant, distributed over three years, will allow 性世界传媒 to build a program that further integrates the 性世界传媒 mission to help students grow spiritually, academically and professionally.

Faith integration ultimately revolves around embodying strong character, grasping ethical principles within the professional realms of business or medicine, and recognizing the impact that following Christ has on how you live and practice daily.

Christ is Our Cornerstone

The program is organized around a Christ-centered approach to the development of the whole person, using the framework of the head, heart and hands. By focusing on three biblical virtues – wisdom, moral courage, and neighbor love – we want students to integrate their classroom learning and faith, so they can lead with clarity, act with integrity, and serve with passion.

Head

Missional Aspect: Think With Clarity
Emphasis: Worldview
Key Virtue: Wisdom

Heart
