Dr. Curt Stilp is the associate dean of the College of Medical Science and director of both the Masters of Medical Science (MMSc) PA program and the Doctorate of Medical Science (DMSc) program.
He has spent more than 19 years in PA education, which included a stint as director of the Oregon Area Health Education Center (AHEC), for which he ran an interprofessional AHEC Scholars program designed to prepare health profession students in caring for rural and underserved communities as a member of a healthcare team.
Stilp began his healthcare career as a Registered Nurse and graduated from Rosalind Franklin University’s PA program in 2001. He has worked as a PA in general orthopedics, with experience in spinal deformity surgery. He completed his doctorate of education in education leadership at Portland State University, with research interests in Interprofessional Education (IPE), rural student training, and health professional workforce development. To that end, Stilp was a member of the Oregon Health Care Workforce Committee for eight years, including serving as vice-chair and chair.
Curt and his wife live in Newberg and love the beautiful surroundings of the Willamette Valley. They have attended A Jesus Church (AJC) in Tigard/Portland for many years. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in Oregon’s outdoors with his wife, visiting his four adult children, and watching football, baseball and hockey.
